Lemonade Day is a fun, free experiential learning program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their own business - a lemonade stand!
Each year, National Lemonade Day is observed on the first Sunday in May 4, 2014 when youth around the country take to the streets of their
communities to open lemonade stands.
Lemonade Day was launched here in Houston in 2007 and has grown to 150,000 kids participating in 36 cities across America and Canada.
It has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, CNBC, Fox News and the Huffington Post.
Lemonade Day's pre-packaged 14-step process walks children from an idea to a business plan. Armed with a checklist and under the guidance of a mentor,
children will work on every aspect of the process - from getting a loan, scouting a location, developing the product (the lemonade) and creating a stand -
with all their efforts culminating in the grand reveal on March 15, 2014!
How can you help?
