PHILIP “BUZZ” STAGG NAMED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT,
CHIEF CREDIT OFFICER AT GREEN BANK
HOUSTON, (November 6, 2007) — Robert V. New, Jr., President & CEO of Green Bank, N.A., announced today that Philip W. “Buzz” Stagg has joined Green Bank as Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer. Stagg brings nearly 20 years of banking experience to Green Bank and will be responsible for assessing new credit opportunities for the bank and providing leadership in areas of risk management.
Stagg joins Green Bank from Amegy Bank where he served as Senior Vice President and Manager, Credit Transition. Prior to that, Stagg was Group Vice President and Manager in charge of State Special Assets at Wachovia Bank and Executive Vice President and Manager for SIB International Bancorp, Inc.
Stagg graduated from Tulane University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He received a Master of Public Administration, focusing on Finance, from Louisiana State University in 1978 and a law degree from the University of Houston Law Center, Houston, in 1982. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Risk Management Association (RMA).
