Green Bank Recognizes Deposits and New Accounts with Donations to Area Environmental Non-Profit Agencies
CEC agencies eligible for donations when supporters choose Green Bank
96 area environmental non-profit agencies have a new tool to raise operating funds. Green Bank now has two programs that trigger donations when a community friend opens a checking or money market account or a certificate of deposit.
Agencies that are affiliated with Citizens’ Environmental Coalition are eligible to promote the new programs to their supporters; up to $250 will be donated as recognition of each donor’s new accounts and deposits with Green Bank.
- 50k/$50 CD - For every $50,000 invested in 12-month or longer CDs, Green Bank will donate $50
- Check Out Houston’s Green Groups - with the opening of a new business or personal checking or money market account, Green Bank will donate $50
For questions about the program or agency eligibility, contact Mike Barone, mbarone@greenbank.com or (713) 275-8243.
About the CEC
The CEC, www.cechouston.org, was founded in 1970 and works to foster dialogue and collaboration between regional environmental non-profit organizations. The CEC provides a free, electronic monthly newsletter, an ongoing calendar of green events and volunteer opportunities, maintains an information and referral service and publishes an annual resource guide.
Green Bank already supports the CEC by underwriting the maintenance of our calendar of green events and community volunteer opportunities. These programs offer agencies an additional source of funding while giving their supporters the chance to choose a like-minded ally.
